Skincare went through its reckoning — ingredient lists got read, percentages got printed, marketing got called out. Hair care mostly didn’t. Edenesse exists to close that gap: botanical formulas your grandmother would recognise, held to a standard a cosmetic chemist would sign off on.
In 2022, two of us — a cosmetic chemist and a very frustrated customer — sat with a bestselling “herbal” hair oil and tried to work out what was actually in it. The herbs were there, technically. In trace amounts, behind mineral oil and perfume.
Redensyl at 3% because that’s what the studies used. Henna and black rice beside actives like SilverFree and MelanoGray. Three products later, we still make everything in one studio in Jaipur, in batches small enough to sign.
If an active is on the front of the bottle, it is in the formula at the level the research used. Third-party assays keep us honest.
Ayurveda gave us the shortlist; the lab gives us the confirmation. When the two disagree, we say so on the label and in the journal.
Small batches from one Jaipur studio. Every carton carries the batch date and the initials of the person who packed it.
Vegan formulas, no animal testing at any stage, and plastic-neutral shipping on every order.
Start with the one your scalp is asking for — the journal can help you decide.
